The Council of the Republic
The Council of the Republic is the consultative body of the President of the Republic. Its main duties are to advise the President, when requested, on political issues. The Council of the Republic is presided over by the President of the Republic and is usually composed of the President of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, the President of the Constitutional Court, the Attorney General, the Presidents of Political Parties represented in the National Assembly and ten citizens appointed by the President.
The Council of Ministers
The Council of Ministers is presided over by the President of the Republic and consists of the Prime Minister, all Ministers appointed by the president and the Secretaries of State. The Council of Ministers meets regularly to discuss issues of national, provincial and local importance. It carries out its decisions through executive laws, decrees and resolutions.
